Favourite travel experiences of the week #3

This month has provided some great stories and travel news from around the world.  A recent news story which has rumbled on with the Not Just a Holiday team is TripAdvisor’s release of the Top 10 Beaches in Europe.

Now I know we shouldn’t like these kind of lists (that seem to swamp the web these days) but frankly when they talk about a subject like beaches we can’t help but have an opinion. Check out the list here and let us know what you think – the Not Just a Holiday team have been to 7 of the beaches combined and after a surprisingly animated debate we plumped for San Vito lo Capo in Sicily as our favourite. But we also believe a significant amount of the best beaches in Europe is not on that list. More on that another day.

Anyway, back to our best of travel:

1) We love the Fearful Adventurer website and this story about riding on a Mexican bus trip helped to bring back quite a lot of Latin American bus journeys back to us. (Just don’t read it before taking a bus in Mexico).

2) This is something I enjoyed immensely 10 years ago when I lived in Sydney. The Bondi to Coogee Beach coastal hike. Great pictures from each bay along the way.
